1961 - 2011 A JUBILEE

Situated in the heart of Valais, in the Sun City of Sierre, the Cave St Georges was founded in 1961 by the Clavien family.
Since 2002 Emmanuel Carron is its manager. His team constantly raises the wine level towards more purity, balance and refinement.
All is emplemented to sublimate the nature of the Valais varieties of vine.
The Cave St Georges’range of wine counts sixteen specialities.
Gold and silver medals received in many contests testify to the high quality of those wines. |

The character of the Valais varieties of vine is closely linked to geology, climate and altitude.
Discover the gorgeous red wines – Pinot Noir and Cornalin first – grown on the chalky hillsides laying down from Sierre to Salquenen, the marvellous Petite Arvine of Fully’s granite, the majestic Païen (Heida) glorified by the stony and filtering soil of the highest vineyards, the Fendant sublimated by the terrace extending from Sion to Saint-Léonard!

When Georges Clavien created his cellar he knows his name was already linked to many wine producers in Valais.
But, for the sign of his new company he prefered his first name, not to confuse people. From then on the famous St Georges flooring the dragon became and remains the emblem of this fifty years old cellar.
